Explore the latest evidence and expert advice about the Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (aka, Modified Barium Swallow Study). This course will discuss the reason for referral, the exam and analysis, and recommendations. Rather than just following the bolus and reporting on aspiration, it is important to determine the pathophysiology behind the aspiration and residue. This course will cover what can be done to improve the swallow and make appropriate referrals and recommendations to guide treatment.
